Job Summary:

The Senior Supply Planner is responsible for contributing to the growth of Benjamin Moore by managing a variety of critical supply chain activities that drive accurate forecasts, generate productive inventory, promote exceptional service, and shipping excellence to all Benjamin Moore customers. A self-starter who enjoys working across the organization to deliver a timely product to both external and internal customers regardless of business unit. This position requires an understanding and practical application of the following functional areas - Planning and Inventory Management, MRP, Demand Management, S&OP, and Data Management.

This position will be highly collaborative, working with other departments including all areas of the Supply Chain. This role requires a proactive and well-organized professional who takes ownership of his/her responsibilities and willingness to help other areas within the organization.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Owns the production plan development process including plan creation, reconciliation, and process optimization.
  • Facilitate year-end forecasting and raw material planning process to reserve capacity, drive labor requirements, and provide rolling 12M projections for vendor community.
  • Contribute to the development of a new S&OP/S&OE process that will define a long-range plan, inclusive of attaining consensus in the areas of Demand, Supply, and Inventory.
  • Facilitate the S&OP process by gathering data and sharing insights that drive strategic supply decisions related to internal and external production.
  • Support centralized planning transformation - Collaborate with plant managers and inventory specialists to drive efficiencies and promote synergies across functions.
  • Track schedule adherence and ensure process orders follow time fence guidelines in SAP. Refine these processes as needed to optimize planning.
  • Act as the liaison between supply and demand, identify mismatches in sales/inventory and make replenishment recommendations.
  • Able to provide supply updates and resolution timelines for constrained materials
  • Collaborate with site personnel to drive efficiencies in production, optimize cost per gallon and support shared inventory and fulfillment goals.
  • Assist in report generation and tool development to provide meaningful business insights to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external facing colleagues to support the strategic pillars as a representative of Benjamin Moore with the ability to go beyond an individual supply chain function.
  • Understand KPIs and key data elements to benchmark company/Group/Team performance and ability to strategize and recommend solutions to senior management. Automate and Improve legacy processes and data tools.
  • Ability to pull/manipulate large data sets.
  • Applies good judgment and critical thinking within business-defined parameters, ability to be detail orientated and promote data accuracy.
  • Support change management effort in preparation for Advanced Planning Software implementation, help define requirements and perform user attribute testing.
  • Takes ownership in their respective book of business and demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on building business acumen around BMC's product, customers, and business model.
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior team members
  • Provides deliverables on time while adhering to budget and quality parameters.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance/Accounting, Business, Logistics, Information Systems, or relevant field
  • 5-7 years of analytical experience within a supply chain, logistics, operations, retail, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP/WMS systems
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Power Point
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to influence and negotiate
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to work tactfully with all levels of employees.
  • Travel 10%
