Job Summary:



Clinical care of children with general neurological disorders including epilepsy in outpatient/inpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Outpatient clinics
  • Inpatient service
  • Weekend call coverage
  • Regional/satellite outpatient clinics
  • Mentorship & education of residents/fellows
  • Interpretation of electroencephalograms and other related studies used in epilepsy



Work Location:



Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:

Assistant Professor



  • 0 - 4 years of experience as an attending physician (assistant professor)
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology.


Associate Professor



  • 4 - 6 years of experience as an attending physician and academic qualifications to fulfill requirements of associate professor rank
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology.


Professor



  • 6 - 8 years of experience as an attending physician and academic qualifications to fulfill requirements of professor rank
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology.


Condition of Employment:



  • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Additional training and expertise in Epilepsy.
  • Interest and experience in clinical research.
  • Interest and experience in clinical trials.
  • Interest and experience in education of medical students, residents/fellows


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Strong communication skills.
  • Broad knowledge and clinical skills in general pediatric neurology and epilepsy.

Anticipated Pay Range:



The hiring range for this position has been established at:

Assistant Professor: $225,000 - $240,000

Associate Professor: $255,000 - $280,000

Professor: $275,000 - $315,000

The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
