Job Summary:

Orthopedic Infectious Diseases Physician or Physician-Scientist. The Division of Infectious Diseases is recruiting a faculty member at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (Anschutz Medical Campus) who will have primary duties in clinical infectious diseases with special interest and experience in orthopedic infections. Responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient consultative services, active involvement in the musculoskeletal infections program, participation in division educational activities, development of quality improvement and research projects. Applicants must have completed an accredited Infectious Diseases fellowship and be ABIM board eligible or board certified in Infectious Diseases. Applicants should have demonstrated aptitude for scholarly achievement. Experience in basic, translational or clinical research in Infectious Diseases is desirable. Key Responsibilities:
- Infectious Disease Clinical Attending, inpatient and outpatient, general and orthopedic ID
- Teach fellows and housestaff
- Publish high quality papers

Qualifications:
|
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Assistant Professor Minimum Qualifications:
- MD or MD-PhD
- Completion of ID fellowship at accredited program
Associate Professor Minimum Qualifications:
- MD or MD-PhD
- Completion of ID fellowship at accredited program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated publication record
- Potential for extramural funding
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Infectious disease practice
- Collegiality
- Ability to liaison well with orthopedic surgery faculty and staff
- Interest and aptitude for scholarly work in orthopedic infectious diseases

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as Assistant Professors: $190,000 to $230,000 Associate Professors for $220,000 - $250,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
