Roadway Project Manager

CEC is seeking a candidate to assist in the growth of the firm's Transportation Engineering practice by leading the firm's roadway design efforts. As a Roadway Project Manager for CEC, you will perform engineering design, analysis, task management, and project management duties on all types of transportation projects for a broad range of commercial, industrial, and government clients. The selected candidate will be responsible for work including geometric studies, report writing, preliminary and final engineering, plan production, drainage design, construction staging, design and quantity calculations, cost estimates, and other related efforts. Specific duties will include managing all aspects of highways and local roads engineering projects to provide quality delivery of project submittals; managing project contracts and financials; mentoring junior-level staff; business development and marketing efforts including identifying potential opportunities and supporting proposal and interview efforts; and monitoring workload needs throughout the entire project development. This position represents a tremendous opportunity for an individual with the drive and expertise needed to assist in the growth of the transportation engineering practice within the firm.

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering required;
• 8+ years of relevant experience required;
• 4+ years of task lead and/or project management experience preferred;
• P.E. license required;
• DOT experience required, WVDOH experience is a plus;
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of roadway design software such as Bentley Microstation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred;
• Diverse experience in roadway geometric design, pavement design, construction document preparation, and right-of-way Plan preparation;
• Experience in proposal preparation and engineering fee estimating;
• Experience in grading and drainage, hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, erosion and sediment pollution control, and utilities preferred.
