Job Description
Migration Engineer Must Have Technical/Functional Skills Hands-on ShareGate Migrate Pro: job configuration, mapping files, incremental and delta passes and activation management within the licensed machine count. Microsoft Migration Manager: agent deployment, jump-box and local-agent topology and task scheduling. Windows file server and SMB share administration; NTFS ACL interpretation. Pre-migration scanning and error-log analysis; root-causing timeouts, failures and skipped items. Metadata fidelity - created and modified dates, authorship, versioning and permission inheritance. Illegal-character, long-path and unsupported-file-type remediation. OneDrive sync client troubleshooting: sync conflicts, cached-file issues and client reset. Post-migration reconciliation - file counts, spot validation and delta reporting. Working PowerShell for job automation and log parsing.
Required Experience Hands-on experience with ShareGate Migrate Pro, Microsoft Migration Manager and enterprise file-share migrations. Strong error-triage, Windows file server, SMB, NTFS ACL and PowerShell capability. Experience with post-cutover validation, metadata fidelity and OneDrive sync troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities Execute migration jobs, incremental passes and final cutover activities. Lead error triage and remediation for failed, skipped and unsupported content. Validate file counts, metadata, permissions and representative content after cutover. Troubleshoot OneDrive sync-client issues and support post-migration stabilization. Document reconciliation evidence, defects and closure status for each wave. Salary Range- $100,000-$120,000 a year #LI-SP3 #LI-VX1
