Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills * 5+ years of hands-on Fidessa server-side development experience. * Strong knowledge of the Fidessa Product Suite, including CASE, FBL, TOP, OMAR, TMAR, PMAC, PARS, NMS, FIX, APAS, and FDA. * Deep understanding of the FIX Protocol and related message flows. * Strong scripting experience using TCL and Unix/Linux Shell Scripting. * Hands-on experience working on Linux and Windows platforms. * Experience with Agile SDLC methodologies and best practices. * Front Office application development experience supporting trading systems. * Strong understanding of equities trading workflows, order management, and market structure. * Experience with system integration, application support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. * Strong Core Java development experience. * Hands-on experience with FDX and Sybase. * FTW development experience. * Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks. * Excellent analytical, design, and problem-solving skills. Functional Skills * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. * Self-motivated with strong ownership and accountability. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Strong interest in capital markets and trading technologies. * Detail-oriented with commitment to quality and timely delivery. Roles & Responsibilities * Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Fidessa-based trading applications within the Front Office environment. * Support and administer multiple Fidessa trading systems, ensuring high availability and performance. * Integrate Fidessa components with enterprise applications and market systems using FIX and other interfaces. * Develop and customize Fidessa solutions to meet business, functional, and regulatory requirements. * Perform Fidessa product upgrades, enhancements, and platform maintenance activities. * Collaborate with Traders, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Development Teams to deliver business-critical solutions. * Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes. * Enable and support Fidessa applications on DevOps CI/CD pipelines and automation toolchains. * Participate in system integration testing, release deployments, and production support activities. * Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to improve stability and scalability. * Ensure adherence to Agile SDLC processes, coding standards, and governance requirements. * Take ownership of assigned deliverables and drive them to successful completion. * Continuously improve understanding of equities trading workflows and provide technical support to trading desks.
