Job Description Job Title: EDM Sales Liaison Department: Inside Sales Department Description: MC Machinery Systems, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and results-oriented Sales Liaison to join our Machining team. This position will play an important role in supporting sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, and assisting with the sales process for our machine tool products. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop valuable sales expertise, including prospecting, sales process management, customer engagement, closing techniques, and sales administration. This role is ideal for an individual who is eager to learn, enjoys building relationships, and is motivated to grow within a technical sales environment. Essential Responsibilities: Acts as liaison between company sales staff and dealers to assist in the process of completing sales orders. This individual is also responsible for closing sales and providing support to our Junior Sales Representatives. Assist our sales team in the closing of new sales Provides our sales network with information on pricing, inventory, order status, and order processing Makes recommendations involving comparison and evaluation of possible courses of action regarding machines and customers Preparation of reports pertaining to annual dealer evaluations, Salesforce forecasting, inventory ordering, sale history, market analysis, and more Performs work that assists the Sales Operations division Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients Present and demonstrate our products to clients, highlighting their benefits and features Prepare and deliver sales proposals and quotations in partnership with our outside sales team Inform clients of shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any other additional information as needed Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales process Manage and maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote and expand our network Willingness to travel to specific sales territories and help close sales Help train and onboard new Jr. Sales Representatives as the team expands Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn Demonstrated outstanding work ethic and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and other business systems Excellent understanding of the machining machine tool industry Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing/Sales, Engineering, or a related field preferred and/or: 2-years of experience in the industry with a background in Sales or Marketing Ability to work independently and within a team Self-motivated and responsible Working Conditions: Job operates mainly indoors, in an office setting, handling administrative tasks related to office management, supplies, and equipment. This position will require the supporting activities throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Physical Requirements: This job requires frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking and hearing, and frequent kneeling. Repetitive use of hands, squeezing, keyboarding and crouching. Requires frequent lifting of 1-10 pounds, recurrent lifting of 11-20 pounds, and occasional lifting of 21-50 pounds or more. Infrequent pushing and pulling of 1-50 pounds. Good visual acuity are necessary for this job.
