GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Prepares shelters, pieces, and parts for paint.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Receives units, washes/rinses, and dry with cloth.
Vibrates spot weld marks, scratches, excess sealer and adhesive.
Inspect surface for dents, hand-buff dents, apply J7 body filler, and vibrate filler to achieve a smooth, even surface before paint.
Read prints, measures parts and shelters, and apply masking to required areas.
Removes masking from holes and cleans with solvent.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Six (6) or more months of related experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Shop floor environment.
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating wrists, keyboarding, using small/large tools).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to tolerate constant noise (i.e. machine motors).
Ability to pass a Pulmonary Function Test.
Ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
