The primary function of this position will be to manage and support new and existing IT networks and systems with minimal supervision. The candidate will coordinate with IT programmers on application and system-related projects. We are looking for a motivated, analytical, and dependable professional who takes initiative, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and can work independently while collaborating effectively with others. The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter who looks beyond immediate fixes to identify long-term solutions, embraces continuous learning, and is committed to maintaining secure, reliable, and efficient systems. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. Experience working in a regulated environment and a proactive approach to cybersecurity, risk management, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Candidates are required to have a bachelor's or advanced degree in an information technology/computer science related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirement.

Candidates are required to have a minimum of four years progressive experience in network operation, configuration, and project management with strong analytical skills and written and verbal communication skills, as well as the following technical skills:

* Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and enterprise network security principles.

* Systems Administration: Expert-level security hardening, patching, and administration across Linux/UNIX and Windows Server environments.

* Virtualization: Proficiency administering enterprise virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere/VCF, Nutanix AHV, Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM)/Oracle KVM) and container/orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

* Performance Tuning: Experience using OS-level and platform monitoring tools (e.g., iostat, sar, top, vSphere/Nutanix performance metrics) to troubleshoot system and database performance issues.

* Identity Management: Experience with LDAP / Active Directory integration (SSSD, Samba, Entra ID/Azure AD) for centralized identity and access management.

* Certificate Management: Experience managing the SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle - issuance, renewal, deployment, and revocation - across servers, load balancers, and network appliances, including internal PKI and public CA workflows.

* Storage & File Systems: Mastery of LVM (Logical Volume Manager) for on-the-fly resizing and working knowledge of NFS/iSCSI/SAN storage interactions.

* Automation & Scripting: Working knowledge of PowerShell and/or shell scripting to automate routine administration and reduce manual configuration.

* Data Protection & Backup: Familiarity with enterprise backup and recovery platforms (e.g., Rubrik) for data protection, replication, and disaster recovery.

* Compliance: Knowledge of NERC CIP and CMMC v2 Level 2 requirements, and the protections they afford to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Bulk Electric System (BES) Cyber Assets.

* Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure: Familiarity with hybrid on-premises/cloud architectures and one or more public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), as well as enterprise endpoint/UEM platforms, is highly helpful.
