Job Summary

As a Transition Coach, you will play a vital role in onboarding, training, and guiding team members through their first few months of employment at West Liberty Foods. The position of the Transition Coach will assist in the onboarding, training facilitation, transition and development of newly hired Production team members by acting as a liaison between our Operations Team, support departments and the team member early in their employment at West Liberty Foods.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the hands-on portion of the New Hire Orientation.
  • Assisting new team members in applying what was learned in the classroom to the production floor.
  • Monitor the progress of new team members, helping them assimilate when necessary and providing assistance in training, onboarding and overall execution of their daily assigned tasks.
  • Developing and implementation on the job training processes and procedures that will focus on West Liberty Foods, Safety, Food Safety and job specific tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Experience in food manufacturing or processing is a plus.
  • Skill: Must be bilingual in English and at least one other language preferably Spanish, French, or Swahili.
  • Age: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships are available.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Physical Abilities:Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Environmental: Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
  • Compliance: Must practice good personal hygiene. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, and physical.
