TITLE Director of Executive Strategy and Operations JOB SUMMARY The Director of Executive Strategy and Operations formalizes the Dean's Office infrastructure, serving as the principal advisor and strategic partner to the Dean of the College of Nursing. The position exists to provide a central, organized resource for customers-faculty, staff, and students-to seek help and support, and to ensure that requests are fulfilled in a timely manner, including those requiring the Dean's direct attention. Operating across the Dean's Office and the Associate Deans' offices, this role unifies previously fragmented administrative functions into a leadership-driven operations hub, ensuring that the College's resources, initiatives, and communications are aligned with TWU's mission and the Dean's strategic plan. Work is performed under general supervision and performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: Dean Nursing Supervises: Academic Data & Operations Program Manager, Faculty Affairs and Recruitment Program Manager, and Budget & Financial Analyst Manager ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but not limited to the following: * Serve as the Dean's trusted advisor on strategic, operational, and policy matters for the Dean's Office. * Supervise Dean's Office staff, coordinating daily operations and ensuring accountability across the team. * Act as gatekeeper to the Dean's calendar, managing priorities, communications, and scheduling across campuses. * Oversee core operational functions within the Dean's Office including data, faculty affairs, and policy/finance. * Coordinate and facilitate communication and workflows across the Denton, Dallas, and Houston campuses. * Analyze commonly accessed institutional data (HR, finance, compliance, accreditation) and present findings to support decision-making. * Manage conflict and facilitate resolution across divisions, staff, and campus stakeholders. * Manage execution of major institutional initiatives on behalf of the Dean's Office. * Prepare briefings, reports, surveys, and communications for internal and external stakeholders. * Provide a clear professional growth path and development opportunities for high-performing administrative leaders within the Dean's Office. * Represent the Dean's Office in committees, meetings, and collaborative projects as needed. ADDITIONAL DUTIES * Performs other duties as requested. EDUCATION Master's degree required. EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in higher education or a complex multi-functional organization. Experience must include managing teams, budgets, and strategic initiatives. Preferred: Experience in healthcare or academic administration, process improvement, data analysis, compliance, or military/mission-driven organizations emphasizing accountability and service. REQUIREMENT Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - The following are essential: * Knowledge of HR, finance, compliance, and accreditation processes in higher education. * Knowledge of institutional strategic planning and operations management. * Knowledge of data analysis methodologies and reporting systems. * Knowledge of policy development and administrative governance structures. * Skills in data analysis and interpretation of institutional data (HR, finance, compliance). * Skills in written and verbal communication across diverse audiences. * Skills in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools. * Skill in conflict facilitation and resolution. * Ability to build, lead, and coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple campuses. * Ability to manage competing priorities and serve as a central operations resource. * Ability to analyze complex data and present actionable findings clearly. * Ability to exercise sound judgment and operate with a high degree of independence. * Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, faculty, staff, and external partners.
