Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking an Of Counsel with 10+ years of experience to join its Transactions Practice Group in Washington, D.C.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience advising companies, investors, and entrepreneurs on cross-border business transactions and strategic initiatives involving the United States, China, and other international markets. Experience representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic investments, corporate governance matters, commercial transactions, and cross-border regulatory and risk-management issues is preferred. Candidates with experience working with Chinese companies, Chinese law firms, and multinational businesses navigating international growth and investment opportunities are encouraged to apply.

Qualified candidates should possess strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills, along with the ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while collaborating with lawyers across multiple practices. Experience building and maintaining cross-border client and referral relationships is strongly preferred.

We are seeking a well-rounded, dynamic, highly motivated lawyer with strong international relationships and demonstrated experience working on complex cross-border matters involving corporate transactions, regulatory issues, international trade considerations, and strategic business expansion. The successful candidate will help further develop Foley's growing international and cross-border platform.

To be considered, applicants must hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and must be active members in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice. Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located will be required as a condition of employment.

The expected salary for this position is $360,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
