What you'll do:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on internally and externally manufactured items per defined inspection criteria.
  • Perform inspections of outbound material prior to shipment.
  • Maintain documentation of inspection and rejection results.
  • Perform material management activities for nonconforming material.
  • Support Material Review Board process through record management, clear written communication, etc.
  • Participate in audits, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts, as needed.
  • Support Quality Engineering through collaboration, escalation, and feedback regarding inspection.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required:

  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills: works effectively and cooperatively with others and establishes and maintains good working relationships
  • Problem solving and analytical skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts.

Preferred:

  • Experience operating in an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) for IPC/WHMA-A-620 & IPC-A-610 standards

Education & Experience:

  • Associates degree and 1 year of related experience; or comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Experience reading and interpreting design drawing requirements.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

This role requires hands-on work on our products/collaboration with on-site teams, and will need to work onsite full-time in Bingen, WA with occasional travel to our facility in The Dalles, OR. This job typically works a 4/10 shift with core hours of 9am-3pm.
