About the Role

Our client, a global specialty retail brand known for fashion, intimates, and beauty, is looking for a Producer to cover a maternity leave. You'll run day-to-day production for creative photography, video, and still life projects from pre-production through shoot wrap. That means coordinating the creative, operational, financial, and logistical sides of each shoot so projects hit creative and brand goals, stay on schedule, and stay on budget. You'll work closely with the production team and cross-functional partners.

This is a hybrid role. You'll be in the office Tuesday through Thursday unless you're on location, on set, or traveling for a shoot.

Why This Role

You'll join an in-house creative team at a well-known retail brand that puts its customers at the center of everything it creates. The team is busy, the work keeps coming, and you'll get hands-on experience producing large and small productions alongside talented creative leaders.

What You'll Do

  • Produce assigned photoshoots across multiple brand and beauty categories from pre-production through completion, keeping creative, brand, schedule, and budget goals aligned.
  • Build and manage production schedules, timelines, budgets, and logistics, including talent, crew, vendors, locations, studios, equipment, travel, catering, and other production needs.
  • Partner with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Photographers, Stylists, Creative Operations, and cross-functional teams to turn creative direction into production plans that work.
  • Book and manage photographers, models, hair, makeup, stylists, studios, locations, production partners, and vendors, including rates, availability, scope, and deliverables.
  • Handle talent logistics and agency relationships, including bookings, rates, schedules, travel, accommodations, fittings, glam, and on-set needs.
  • Work with Travel & Expense, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and other internal teams so documentation, agreements, releases, travel, and financial processes are done accurately and on time.
  • Negotiate production rates and fees within approved budgets, find cost savings, and escalate big financial decisions to the lead producer.
  • Create and manage call sheets, production decks, schedules, templates, and other production documents, and keep accurate records through the full shoot lifecycle.
  • Run day-to-day operations on set: direct PAs and production support, manage vendors and crew, solve problems in real time, and keep the day on schedule.
  • Spot production risks early, build solutions and backup plans, and keep the production lead and internal partners updated on open items, budget status, and potential issues.
  • Juggle multiple productions and competing priorities while staying organized and communicative.
  • Partner with Creative Operations, Retouching, and Asset Management to make sure assets are delivered, organized, and handed off on time.

Finance and Budget

  • Build, track, and maintain production budgets and financial projections for assigned photo and video shoots with the production lead.
  • Monitor spend throughout each shoot and flag variances, potential overages, and savings opportunities.
  • Keep assigned productions within approved budgets and escalate financial risks or major changes as needed.
  • Finalize and submit estimates, advances, billings, usage agreements, post-production work, and other financial documentation.
  • Manage and reconcile shoot invoices so everything submitted to Accounts Payable is accurate and complete.
  • Manage advance requests and net-zero payments for assigned productions.
  • Review production costs, overtime, vendor charges, and final billing against approved budgets, and escalate any discrepancies.
  • Know the creative, operational, scheduling, and financial status of your productions and share updates in weekly team huddles and production meetings.

What You Bring

  • 3 to 5+ years of production experience in fashion, beauty, retail, advertising, or a related creative industry, with hands-on photo and/or video production experience.
  • Strong financial skills and experience managing production budgets.
  • Experience negotiating and managing vendor and talent rates, fees, and terms.
  • Ability to manage productions independently and use good judgment on when to escalate.
  • Comfort working with creative teams and big personalities, and turning creative direction into clear production plans.
  • Strong organization, project management, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear, strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to shift gears quickly in a fast-paced environment where priorities change often.
  • A no-ego, team-first attitude. No task is too big or too small.
  • Mac proficient. Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint/Keynote required. Smartsheet or other project management tools a plus.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and production presentation tools a plus.
  • Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and long shoot days when productions call for it.
  • Ability to travel to shoots and production locations as needed.
  • B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent experience.
