Accountant I - Kapco Grafton, WI

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team in Grafton, Wisconsin as Accountant I. This position will perform a variety of accounting functions including, but not limited to day-to-day accounting activities, recording of journal entries, account reconciliation's, financial analysis and ensure data for month end reporting is accurate.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Responsible for various aspects (journal entries, account reconciliations) of the monthly financial close process.
  • Perform a variety of Accounts Payable functions.
  • Resolves disputes regarding accounts payable.
  • Accurately and promptly invoice customers and process customer credit / debit memos.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reporting information.
  • Prepare materials as required for internal and external auditors.
  • Work with other team members to improve overall reporting systems.

Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
  • At least two years of corporate accounting work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and other accounting related activities including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting software, proficient with Microsoft Excel.
