Description

The Resident Project Representative Leader role oversees the construction management team and ensures organizational goals are met. This role leads quality control and assurance efforts across multiple projects, coordinating subcontractor activities and resolving performance issues. This role develops detailed project scopes, optimizes schedules, and analyzes project progress to provide strategic recommendations. This person must live local to Detroit as it will require being onsite and in the office.

Responsibilities



  • Establish and define quality control and assurance efforts across multiple projects.
  • Manage subcontractor and ensure tasks are carried out effectively and resolves performance issues.
  • Oversee contingency reporting and management throughout the execution of projects.
  • Support the project teams risk management practice to comply with company risk standards.
  • Define project scope, set realistic goals and monitor progress.
  • Oversee schedule management and drive timely completion of tasks.
  • Manage request for information, ensure it aligns with set objectives.
  • Drive change management initiatives and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Develop detailed project scopes and objectives with input from stakeholders.
  • Analyze project progress and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Optimize project schedules and resource allocation.
  • Manage complex RFIs and ensures timely resolution.
  • Ensure strict compliance with plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Responsible for management of subcontractor and vendor budget performance and change management.
  • Oversee project or task budgets and overall financial performance during construction.
  • Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and fostering a culture of engagement, growth, and accountability.
  • Oversee workload planning, performance management, and team operations to align resources with business objectives while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.


Skills and Competencies



  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide, influence and mentor a team.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of construction management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage all facets of the construction process from inception to completion.
  • Strong proficiency in progress monitoring and schedule management.
  • Advanced communication skills and ability clearly convey information.
  • Advanced understanding of the pre-construction process and ability to work with pre-construction managers to define project objectives.
  • Advanced understanding of local, state, and national contracting community and ability to develop strategic partnerships.
  • Advanced knowledge of delivery methodologies (CMAR, CM/GC, PDB, DBB).


Experience



  • Typically, a minimum of 10 years of related work experience in construction management or related field.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Previous experience managing others


Education



  • A bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience is required.

    Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

    Location A: $144,000 - $196,000
