Description

The Loan Servicing Specialist II is responsible for supporting the service, maintenance, and administration of the Bank's loan portfolio to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant operations throughout the loan lifecycle. This role performs a variety of loan servicing activities, supports internal partners and customers, and assists in the resolution of routine to moderately complex servicing issues. The incumbent applies working knowledge of loan servicing procedures, systems, and operational controls to support service quality, regulatory compliance, and the effective delivery of lending operations.

Position Accountabilities



  • Support the administration and servicing of the Bank's loan portfolio while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Process and review loan servicing transactions, records, and related documentation in accordance with operational standards.
  • Maintain loan, escrow, collateral, and other servicing records to ensure data integrity and completeness.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal partners and customers and provide timely support related to loan servicing activities.
  • Research and resolve routine servicing issues, discrepancies, and exceptions, escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Perform account reconciliations and assist in identifying and correcting servicing discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, investor requirements, and Bank policies, including BSA/AML requirements.
  • Support departmental projects, process improvements, audits, examinations, and testing activities as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while handling sensitive customer and Bank information.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and provide support across loan servicing functions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the Supervisor - Loan Servicing.

Position Qualifications

Education & Experience



  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Typically requires 2 or more years of relevant banking, loan servicing, loan operations, or related experience.
  • May require obtaining and maintaining NMLS registration.


Knowledge & Skills



  • Working knowledge of loan servicing processes, procedures, documentation, and operational controls.
  • Understanding of loan servicing systems and activities throughout the loan lifecycle.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to identify and resolve routine operational issues by applying established procedures and sound judgment.
  • Excellent customer service, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Ability to work effectively under moderate supervision and collaborate with team members.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other applicable business systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
