Business Process Analyst: The Business Process Analyst works collaboratively within the Office of Budget and Finance Integrated Technology Services team on complex PeopleSoft tasks in support of campus business users. Responsibilities will include production support and process documentation, while following established standards, guidelines and change control procedures. The
BPA is further expected to be comfortable working with campus business owners and the development team in designing and building technical solutions. This role requires an individual who can work independently to ensure that assignments are completed on time. Senior Business Process Analyst:
The Senior Business Process Analyst works collaboratively within the Office of Budget and Finance Integrated Technology Services team to support PeopleSoft and related enterprise applications. This role requires an individual who can work independently to support campus business users, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner. The Senior
BPA is responsible for providing functional production support, documenting business processes, and following established standards, guidelines, and change control procedures. The individual will support assigned PeopleSoft functional areas and troubleshoot integrations with third-party applications such as Jaggaer, PaymentWorks, Oversight,TouchNet, and other enterprise systems. responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting PeopleSoft Integration Broker messages, analyzing integration issues, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with technical teams and vendors to ensure reliable data exchange. The Senior
BPA will serve as the Reporting administrator for the Office of Budget and Finance, overseeing enterprise reporting governance, reporting security, reporting standards, and report lifecycle management. The individual will ensure consistent reporting practices, maintain data integrity and compliance with established standards, administer report access, support campus users with reporting requests, troubleshoot
reporting issues, and partner with business and technical teams to deliver secure, reliable, and effective reporting services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of functional and technical expertise, including business analysis, process improvement, requirements gathering, and translating business needs into technical solutions. The Senior
BPA should be proficient in creating and troubleshooting PeopleSoft Queries (PS Query), validating data, coordinating testing activities, and collaborating closely with developers and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to ask insightful questions, evaluate business processes, recommend improvements, and communicate effectively with both business and technical teams, drawing on a deeper level of experience to guide decision making on more complex or ambiguous issues. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills while building strong partnerships with campus stakeholders and supporting continuous improvement across business processes and enterprise applications. |
| Minimum Education and Experience |
Business Process Analyst:
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Senior Business Process Analyst:
Bachelor's degree in a related area and five (5) years of related work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. |
| Preferred Education and Experience |
Business Process Analyst:
Two plus years of experience in developing strong PeopleSoft functional skills and expertise in PeopleSoft Financial Management Solutions (
FMS) modules and/or Human Capital Management (
HCM); Experience in PeopleSoft set-up and configuration.
Senior Business Process Analyst:
Five plus years of experience developing strong PeopleSoft functional skills and expertise in PeopleSoft Financial Management Solutions (
FMS) modules and/or Human Capital Management (
HCM); demonstrated experience in PeopleSoft set-up and configuration, reporting administration, and third-party integration troubleshooting. |
| Other Qualifications |

| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
Business Process Analyst:
This position reports to
OBF - Integrated Technology Services and will be responsible for:
* Defining, analyzing, and documenting business requirements
* Defining system enhancements' scope and objectives to ensure alignment with overall business strategies
* Translating business requirements into
ERP solutions, predominantly PeopleSoft.
* Collaborating with the IT team, business management, end-users, and other stakeholders
* Creating user guides, training materials, and other pertinent documentation for end-users
* Researching and troubleshooting transactional and other
ERP issues
* Performing functional testing and troubleshooting issues during
ERP upgrades
* Maintaining
ERP configurations and integration with other applications.
Senior Business Process Analyst:
This position reports to
OBF - Integrated Technology Services and will be responsible for:

* Defining system enhancements' scope and objectives to ensure alignment with overall business strategies
* Translating business requirements into
ERP solutions, predominantly PeopleSoft
* Serving as Reporting Administrator for the Office of Budget and Finance, overseeing
enterprise reporting governance, reporting security, reporting standards, and report lifecycle management
* Administering report access, supporting campus users with reporting requests, and troubleshooting reporting issues
