Job Duties



  • Grind and deburr metal parts and components to remove sharp edges, burrs, excess material, and imperfections.
  • Use electric and pneumatic grinding tools to finish components according to specifications.
  • Inspect parts for proper finish, dimensions, and overall quality.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and production specifications.
  • Use hand tools and measuring equipment as required.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure parts meet quality requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and required PPE when operating grinding equipment.
  • Identify and report defective or out-of-specification parts to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain consistent production while meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Perform other manufacturing and production duties as assigned.



Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.



Experience Requirements



  • Experience with grinding/deburring metal components.
  • Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, or other metal materials.
  • Experience using calipers or other basic measuring tools.
  • Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience using electric and pneumatic grinding tools.
  • Ability to safely operate grinders and other hand/power tools.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand/tool work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous manufacturing, grinding, deburring, or metal finishing experience preferred.
  • Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.
  • Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Grinder Deburr Operator.
  • Previous experience in aerospace, semiconductor, or precision manufacturing is a plus.



Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
