Job Summary


We're looking for an Equipment Maintenance Specialist to support Plasma and EB-PVD coating operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems. In this role, you'll help ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support the safe and efficient production of aerospace components.

Shift: 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday 11:00pm -7:00am


Union: This position is represented by Local 475.


Shift Differential: 15%


Starting Rate: $36.67/hr


Training: New hires must be available to train on 1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00a-3:00p) for a minimum of 90 days before transitioning to their regularly assigned shift



What You'll Be Doing



  • Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on Plasma and EB-PVD equipment and supporting systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum systems.
  • Diagnose issues with motors, starters, relays, solenoids, servo drives, DC power supplies, and process controls.
  • Maintain vacuum pumps, exhaust/extraction systems, cooling systems, and process equipment.
  • Calibrate gauges, sensors, and instrumentation.
  • Perform welding, brazing, fabrication, plumbing, and machine shop work as required.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document maintenance activities and follow all safety and quality requirements.



What We're Looking For



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5-7 years of industrial equipment maintenance experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Working knowledge of 480V/220V electrical systems and diagnostic tools such as multimeters and amp probes.
  • Experience troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or become certified.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.



Nice to Have



  • Technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Plasma, EB-PVD, vacuum coating, aerospace, or other advanced manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with PLCs, servo drives, automated equipment, and process controls.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • TIG or Stick Welding experience.



Work Environment & Physical Requirements



  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching throughout the workday.
  • Regular lifting of materials up to 25 pounds and pulling up to 40 pounds.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety requirements.
  • May work around high-voltage systems, vacuum equipment, compressed gases, and aerospace coating operations.
