Job Title: Underwriting Assistant I

Location: Broomfield, CO

Duration: 12 months. (Temp to hire)

Hybrid Schedule: Yes. Would start Tues-Thursday and will re-evaluate after first 90 days.

Temp-to-hire: That is the goal but cannot be guaranteed at this time. If unable to convert at end of 12 months, would look to extend an additional 6 months if work volume continues to support it.

We will count on you to:

  • Assist in time sensitive distribution of policy correspondence and legal documents via physical mail or email.
  • Assist with building inspections to validate information provided and consistent, communicating non-standard or atypical findings within service standards.
  • Gain an understanding of agency management, product distribution, and claims procedures that enhance growth and underwriting profit.
  • Professionally communicate with relevant stakeholders via email or other appropriate methods.
  • Work cross-functionally with Compliance, Claims, Product, Underwriting and other business units to develop process improvements and product enhancements.
  • Provide input and feedback to leadership for continuous process improvement.
  • Fill in for other team members to ensure business continuity during peak periods and/or when team members are unavailable.



What you need to have:

  • High attention to detail, analytical, creativity, intellectual curiosity, a desire to communicate, and strong time management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams)

What makes you stand out?

  • Insurance, Mortgage, or closely related office experience
  • Successful completion of insurance and/or financial designations.
  • Experience with building construction types and/or terminology.
