Pay Rate: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 8 am-5 pm
• Monday - Friday, 12 pm-9 pm,
• Every other Saturday, 8 am-12 pm

Looking for Collections Representative jobs in Newark where great communication makes a real difference? This opportunity lets you assist customers, solve problems, and build positive relationships while helping deliver outstanding service every day.

Job Duties

• Achieve department standards and goals by contacting clients and collecting on debtor accounts.
• Work the minimum number of accounts per hour as set by management.
• Set up payment arrangements with debtors and follow up on those arrangements.
• Follow up on accounts until they are paid, settled, cured from delinquency, or deemed uncollectible.
• Perform skip tracing tasks.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of account activity.
• Adhere to all FDCPA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Additional customer service, business, or office training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide professional, courteous, and solution-focused customer service.
• Experience using computers, business software, and data entry systems.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service, call center, retail, office support, or administrative experience is preferred.
• Experience working with CRM software, order processing systems, or customer databases is beneficial.
• Bilingual communication skills may be considered an asset depending on the position.
• Individuals who demonstrate patience, professionalism, adaptability, and excellent communication skills are well positioned for success as a Collections Representative.
• Collections experience preferred
• Knowledge of FDCPA and credit bureau reports is a plus

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to remain seated or stand for extended periods while assisting customers.
• Frequent use of computers, telephones, and standard office equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
• Ability to perform repetitive keyboard and data entry tasks throughout the workday.
