Tremendous opportunity for a Banking & Finance Attorney to join this growing, client-focused law firm in NWA! This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled attorney to serve as a trusted advisor to financial institutions while handling sophisticated banking, commercial lending, creditors' rights, and business litigation matters.

We're looking for someone who offers a strong background representing banks, lenders, and creditors in commercial transactions, collections, bankruptcy proceedings, foreclosures, and related litigation. You'll work closely with clients, attorneys, law clerks, and administrative staff in a collaborative environment that values professionalism, integrity, and exceptional client service.

As a Banking & Finance Attorney, you'll provide strategic legal counsel to banks and financial institutions on a wide range of lending, regulatory, litigation, and business matters. Your experience is key in structuring and documenting commercial lending transactions while helping clients effectively navigate legal risks and business challenges.

In addition to banking and finance work, you'll assist a diverse client base with general business matters and civil litigation.

Education Requirements



  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Arkansas law license in good standing.
  • Eligibility to appear before Arkansas state and federal courts.


Experience Requirements



  • Minimum 5 years of experience in banking law, commercial finance, creditor representation, or related legal practice.
  • Proven experience handling commercial litigation, bankruptcy, collections, foreclosure, and enforcement actions.
  • Strong background drafting and negotiating commercial loan documentation and financing agreements.
  • Demonstrated courtroom, mediation, and dispute resolution experience.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience representing banks, credit unions, financial institutions, or commercial lenders.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, secured lending, asset-based lending, and acquisition financing.
  • Tax law experience is a plus.
  • Existing client relationships, portable book of business, or financial industry network preferred.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to work at a desk and computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to review legal documents and perform detailed legal research.
  • Occasional travel to client meetings, hearings, court appearances, and community events.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing.


Job Duties



  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial lending documents, including credit agreements, security agreements, guaranties, UCC filings, and related financing documents.
  • Advise financial institutions on lending transactions, banking regulations, risk management, and business operations.
  • Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, collections, foreclosures, probate matters, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Conduct legal research, case analysis, investigations, and litigation strategy development.
  • Build client relationships, provide trusted legal counsel, support business development efforts, and help grow the firm's banking and financial services practice.
