Description & Requirements Job Description
Under the supervision of a Clinical Research Manager, the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will perform entry-level support for clinical research studies. The primary focus of this position will be supporting recruitment for one or more multi-site, NIH-funded clinical trials through the development, adaptation, coordination, and maintenance of participant-facing recruitment and engagement materials, but the CRC may receive training and development to prepare and advance for journey-level work at the next level within the series. The incumbent will work with investigators, study staff, participating sites, and other collaborators to help translate study information into clear, accurate, accessible, and participant-centered materials across print and digital formats. The CRC will also provide flexible support for other clinical research activities as study needs evolve, which may include participant outreach and scheduling, screening and enrollment support, study visit coordination, data collac6tion and entry, maintenance of study documentation, regulatory and monitoring support, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Required: - HS graduation and sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to successfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities; and/or equivalent experience/training. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft, edit, and proofread clear participant-facing materials and to communicate complex information in understandable language. - Strong attention to detail, accuracy, consistency, and version control across documents and study materials. - Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other standard office or collaborative document tools. - Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment; coordinate multiple concurrent tasks and stakeholders; prioritize work; and meet deadlines. - Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with research participants and families, investigators, study staff, participating sites, and external collaborators. Preferred - Demonstrated proficiency with medical terminology. - Experience developing, editing, or coordinating participant-, patient-, or public-facing communications, educational materials, recruitment materials, or similar content. - Experience working with research participants or patients and families; familiarity with clinical research documentation, databases, IRB processes, or multisite study coordination. - Ability to abstract data from medical records and transfer it to data collection forms or directly into databases.
