Salary range:
The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $165,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. The salary range listed is for base compensation only and may be adjusted depending on qualifications and experience. The salary range does not include variable compensation and is subject to the individual department compensation plan. Please note that eligibility for the Health Sciences Compensation Plan requires an FTE percentage greater than 50%. Application Window Open date: October 1, 2026 Next review date: Friday, Oct 30, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Friday, Oct 1, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing seeks master's degree or doctorally prepared registered nurses to join the school as clinical faculty, with current expertise in care of adult clients in acute care settings. Full-time and part-time positions at the assistant and associate rank in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) Series are available at UC Davis Health, which is located on a modern, 140-acre campus in Sacramento, California. The Sacramento campus is home to the School of Nursing, School of Medicine, UC Davis Medical Center (including a level I trauma center and burn unit, and a full range of outpatient services), a fully accredited children's hospital, and a NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. Practice locations include UC Davis Medical Center, as well as UC Davis Health ambulatory, outpatient, and primary care network clinics, Sacramento County clinics, local FQHCs, and other CRITERIA: The four criteria are:

A master's degree or doctoral degree (e.g. DNP, EdD, PhD) is required at the time of application. The candidate must meet the following qualifications:
Certification as a certified healthcare simulation educator (CHSE) is preferred. Successful candidates will provide clinical teaching in the area of medical-surgical nursing and/or obstetrical nursing at a practice location. This includes teaching of direct patient care as well as clinical skills for graduate-level pre-licensure students from the School of Nursing. Additional responsibilities include overseeing students conducting patient care, providing feedback, and assisting with training. The candidate also serves as a member of the School of Nursing faculty. In this role, the incumbent teaches students in didactic and clinical courses, participates in clinical skills and simulation sessions, and provides mentoring and professional guidance to students.
