Position Title: Lumber Production Associate
Wage: $17.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm (Mon-Fri) QPS Employment Group has a great Lumber Production Associate position at a company in Quincy, IL. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Lumber Production Associate Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Stack and unstack lumber and boards onto and off the saw feed belt. - Properly position and organize boards to support an efficient production flow. - Remove finished or processed boards from the production line and stack them in designated areas. - Inspect boards for obvious defects or damage while handling materials. - Assist with the assembly of wooden pallets as needed. - Safely operate pneumatic nail guns and staple guns when performing pallet assembly. - Move, organize, and stage lumber and other materials throughout the work area. - Maintain a clean and organized workstation. - Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements. - Work cooperatively with other production employees to meet daily production goals. Lumber Production Associate Requirements: - Previous manufacturing, lumber, pallet assembly, or general labor experience is preferred but not required. - Experience using nail guns, staple guns, or basic hand tools is a plus. - Ability to safely perform repetitive lifting, bending, reaching, and stacking throughout the shift. - Ability to work at a consistent pace in a production environment. - Strong attention to safety and surroundings. - Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team. - Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift. - Ability to frequently bend, reach, twist, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions. - Ability to repeatedly lift and handle lumber and wooden materials throughout the workday. - Ability to safely work around saws, conveyors, pneumatic tools, and other production equipment.
