Position Responsibilities As a Senior Technical Consultant specializing in Business Intelligence, you provide consulting and training services to Deltek clients using the Cognos Analytics product suite - supporting Costpoint and Deltek's broader portfolio of integrated, project-oriented solutions for Government Contractors.
This role creates BI deliverable specifications, builds and modifies reports, data models, dashboards, and associated security, and tests and documents deliverables - balancing technical depth with strong client-facing consulting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specification & Development: Create BI deliverable specifications, and build or modify reports, data models, dashboards, and associated security.
- Testing & Documentation: Test deliverables and document status and results throughout the engagement.
- Work Prioritization: Determine work priorities in accordance with project plans, project schedules, changing work demands, and GovCon Services' policies and practices.
- Trusted Advisor: Apply business analytical and technical thinking to resolve routine client issues and challenges by identifying possible alternatives and providing recommendations.
- Research & Escalation: Research reporting issues as needed and provide detail and preliminary recommendations to the project lead or designated representative.
- Ownership: Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow through on commitments, performing multiple work assignments under general direction.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively and build relationships with other consultants, customer staff, and third-party consultants.
- Team Support: Contribute to and support the entire consulting team in ensuring client requirements are met.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Skills and Experience:
- U.S. Citizenship: This position requires U.S. citizenship in order to support contractual requirements and FedRAMP- and ITAR-related projects.
- Consulting Experience: Minimum 5 years of consulting and/or similar experience.
- Reporting/Analytics Experience: 5+ years of reporting or analytics experience.
- Cognos Experience: Experience with Cognos 12 and/or Analytics.
- ERP Background: Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Time & Expense, or ERP systems such as Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft, SAP, BAAN, JAMIS, Maconomy, Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains/Solomon/Navision, JD Edwards, or Lawson (experience with Deltek ERP products is preferred over other ERP products).
- Microsoft Office Proficiency: Experienced with all aspects of Microsoft Office products.
- Domain Experience: Experience with accounting, manufacturing, or HR/Payroll systems.
- AI Tools: Experience with AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, and ChatGPT, and an eagerness to learn more.
- Security Reporting: LDAP and ADS reporting security experience is a plus.
- SQL: Writing and troubleshooting SQL is a plus.
- Education: B.A./B.S. or equivalent work experience comparable to a four-year degree in a related area.
- Travel: Travel within the US could be up to 25%.

Career Interests Consulting Compensation Info The U.S. salary range for this position is $72,000.00-$127,000.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
