Lead Manufacturing Excellence. Build Smarter. Deliver Better.

Munters is a global leader in climate solutions for mission-critical applications. We design and manufacture innovative systems that help customers control humidity, temperature, and energy use while improving efficiency and sustainability.

We're looking for a Manufacturing Efficiency Engineer Manager to lead our Manufacturing Engineering team in developing, validating, and continuously improving production systems. This role will help ensure our people, materials, processes, equipment, tooling, and test systems are ready to safely meet customer demand while improving productivity, quality, capacity, and cost.

You'll work closely with Operations, Design Engineering, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Safety, Maintenance, Test, and Finance to build efficient and scalable manufacturing systems.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team and manufacturing system owners.
  • Establish and improve production processes, layouts, standard work, staffing, capacity, tooling, and material flow.
  • Protect production takt and schedule performance by identifying constraints, validating cycle times, balancing labor, and developing capacity plans.
  • Lead production readiness activities for new products and manufacturing changes, ensuring materials, tooling, equipment, staffing, standard work, and testing are ready before production.
  • Partner with Design Engineering and R&D on Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Testing, and Serviceability (DFM/DFA).
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as 5S, line balancing, SMED, Kanban, JIT, DMAIC, visual management, root-cause analysis, and error-proofing.
  • Identify and eliminate waste, bottlenecks, rework, downtime, and process variation.
  • Develop and evaluate capital and automation projects using labor savings, capacity, quality, risk reduction, ROI, and payback analysis.
  • Turn production challenges into sustainable process improvements and permanent corrective actions.
  • Develop and track manufacturing KPIs, including takt attainment, labor hours per unit, capacity, first-pass yield, rework, downtime, lead time, WIP, cost savings, and productivity.
  • Support and drive standardization across manufacturing processes while ensuring changes are properly evaluated, validated, and implemented.
  • Champion a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Operations, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, operations, or continuous improvement.
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams or manufacturing engineering functions.
  • Strong experience with Lean Manufacturing, line design, productivity, capacity planning, and process optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence teams across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functions.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, including the ability to evaluate labor, capacity, cost, ROI, and capital investments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or similar certification.
  • Experience in engineered products, HVAC, refrigeration, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience with automation and capital equipment projects.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
  • Electrical manufacturing experience.
  • Experience leading manufacturing improvements across multiple sites or global operations.
