Position Summary

Odyssey is looking for an HR Support/Team Lead to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) at Ft Detrick, MD. The person filling the role will provide a full range of federal government HR Management Support services IAW the Office of Personnel Management, DoD, and Military Service-specific personnel management policies and regulations as applicable. Specific tasks include but are not limited to civilian personnel performance objectives and evaluations, military officer evaluations and non-commissioned officer evaluations, civilian and military awards, taskers, alert rosters, organization chart updates, in/out-processing of personnel, welcome packages, accountability and strength reporting, maintenance of personnel files and the management of the electronic personnel database, award process support, and general administrative support. Support will be for a Human Resource Manager, and both Civilian and Military personnel.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

    Prepare, edit, review, and staff civilian human resource management forms and documents submitted by supervisory and management personnel for signature by appropriate individuals, and ensure all forms and documents received for staffing are properly completed, accurate, and compiled for review and signature by the appropriate approval authority.
  • Coordinate the preparation of, and responses to HR related taskers. Consolidate the information received by the suspense date and prepare the package for staffing through the appropriate personnel for approval/endorsement and submit to tasking organization by suspense date.
  • Review, update and maintain organizational charts on a monthly basis or as needed.
  • Submit the finalized organizational chart to the Help Desk for publication to Intranets.
  • Monitor and maintain the HR Mailboxes and HR Tasker mailboxes by routing actions appropriately and responding to emails in a timely manner.
  • Keep an inventory of awards certificates and medal sets and prepare request for new certificates and medals as needed.
  • Support the planning and set up for all awards ceremonies to include coordinating space and set up of presentation areas, awardee notifications, preparing agendas for ceremonies, and awards/certificate preparation.
  • Maintain access to, at a minimum, the Evaluation Entry System (EES), Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS), Medical Operational Data System (MODS), and Unit Commander's Financial Report (UCFR).
  • Maintain access to the following systems: Employee Management Processing and Recruitment System (eMPRES), Automated Notification of Action (AutoNOA) and Defense Civilian Personal Data System (DCPDS).
  • Support all aspects of management of organizational manpower documents and reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.

Clearance: Ability to Obtain NACI.

Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Years of Experience: At least 8 years of full-time work experience in human resource management.

Other experience: Proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Years of experience: Extensive knowledge of civilian and federal healthcare human resource management.

Experience with DHA/USAMMDA preferred

Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and/or Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification.

Travel: 10%.
