Your Job

Guardian Glass is seeking an Operations Department Manager to join our team in Geneva, NY.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving safety and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. To be successful, you must be comfortable with complex operations while working across all levels of the organization to drive vision, strategy, and execution. You will work with peer managers, outside resources, process engineers, technicians, and supervisors to promote our One Team mentality while advancing our principle-based culture.

Our Team

You will join a collaborative operations team that partners closely with maintenance, quality, engineering, development, and technical resources to improve process performance. We value ownership, open communication, disciplined problem-solving, and knowledge sharing to help sustain safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a 24/7/365 large scale manufacturing process including people, equipment and administration.
  • Own and drive safety excellence and environmental compliance of people and processes.
  • Foster strong customer partnerships to ensure quality product is delivered on time and in full.
  • Work with and through team members to achieve reliable, stable, and predictable plant operations.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute on the most profitable opportunities that drive plant efficiency, increase throughput, and add capabilities.
  • Recruit, challenge and develop the future leaders of the plant and company.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Management experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
  • Demonstrated ability aligning a team to safety, quality, culture, and productivity visions.
  • Proven track-record of mentoring and developing future leaders.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or other STEM related field
  • Glass or Ceramic Process and Production Knowledge: furnace/combustion, glass forming and annealing theory.
  • Thin Film Optical Process and Production Knowledge: Sputtering, vacuum processes, and equipment
  • Experience using data analysis and process control systems
This role is not open to sponsorship now or in the future.
For this role we anticipate paying $105,000-$125,000 per year.
