Position Description:
Provide
operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) support for xPL
Offsite (xPL) manufacturing facilities, including supporting systems, devices,
infrastructure, and technologies that enable manufacturing operations,
inventory management, logistics, and facility productivity. Work closely with
production, logistics, operations, engineering, and facility leadership teams
to ensure technology systems remain available, secure, and aligned with
business needs. Support technology implementations across multiple
manufacturing facilities and assist in establishing standardized support
practices.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
Provide operational technology and information technology support for xPL Offsite (xPL) manufacturing operations through reliable delivery of technology services and infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting production, logistics, inventory management, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and shop-floor technology.
Support handheld scanners, tablets, kiosks, label printers, mobile carts, and warehouse technology systems.
Document issues in Information Services (IS) ticketing system and provide timely status updates and final resolutions to end-users. Maintain updated documentation of assigned requests within ticket management system. Support development of knowledge-based articles based on ticket resolutions as applicable.
Assist with implementation and support of inventory management, warehouse management, and manufacturing applications.
Coordinate support activities to minimize disruption to production and operational workflows.
Identify and escalate technology risks that may affect production, systems, or business operational continuity.
Support facility network infrastructure including wireless connectivity throughout manufacturing and warehouse environments.
With authorization, procure hardware, software, and cellular services from equipment vendors and provision and configure as assigned. Track allocation of equipment.
Assist with deployment and support of wired and wireless technologies used throughout manufacturing operations.
Support network-connected devices utilized in production and logistics environments.
Maintain technology inventories, documentation, and asset tracking.
Follow cybersecurity standards and access control requirements for manufacturing environments.
Understand, follow, and apply IS policies, procedures, security and standards relating to infrastructure systems, components, applications and services.
Escalate Turner IS security compliance and standards matters to supervisor and educate end-users on IS policies, procedures, Turner tools, and best practices.
Assist with management of vendor access and connectivity requests following IS standards.
Support recovery from disaster or failure of equipment identified during daily system backups and other mission critical manufacturing infrastructure.
Support patching and maintenance activities while minimizing impact to operations.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology, including use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and in collaboration with IS AI resources.
Participate in xPL technology initiatives supporting automation, mobility, inventory accuracy, and process improvement projects following IS methodology for change management.
Support development, tracking, and maintenance of timely documentation of local technology infrastructure including inventories of hardware and applications of desktop computers.
Develop and maintain knowledge articles and support documentation.
Provide support to plant facility expansion and startup activities.
Apply basic operational technology (OT) security practices, including network segmentation awareness and secure vendor remote access support, as directed.
Adopt IS lean tools to plan, schedule, and perform work activities and to communicate status with supervisor and team.
Apply basic continuous improvement concepts and practices to work efficiently, enhance programs, coordinate, and reduce waste.
Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
This role is required onsite in our manufacturing facility in Decatur, AL

  • Qualifications:
    Minimum of 3 years supporting technology in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, distribution, industrial, or enterprise environments and in pursuit of or with Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program in Information Services, Computer Science, Operations, Management, or related field of study, or with current Information Technology (IT) certifications such as A+, Network+, or MCP, or with equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
    Security+ certification preferred
    Experience supporting mobile devices, printers, scanners, Windows workstations, and network-connected devices
    Experience with ticket management systems
    Strong troubleshooting and customer support skills
    Ability to work independently with direction and supervision in a fast-paced operational environment
    Manufacturing technology support experience including experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) , Inventory management system preferred
    Experience supporting multiple facilities preferred
    Basic knowledge of Windows Server Administration and Active Directory
    Familiar with installation and deployment of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems
    Proficient computer skills and familiar with Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, two-factor authentication, data migrations, and Mobile Device Management applications
    Basic knowledge of telephone equipment, VOIP, LAN/WAN, peripheral network devices, and cellular phone operating systems
    Familiar with supporting multi-function printers and scanners
    Knowledge of malware, spyware, anti-virus software
    Basic experience using continuous improvement principles and concepts
    Professional and clear verbal and written communication skills
    Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
    Able to take direction, learn and process information quickly, follow tasks through to completion
    Display interpersonal skills with ability to work with individuals across organizational levels
    Travel required, access to reliable transportation required

    occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
