Your Job

INVISTA is seeking an Industrial Mobile Equipment Mechanic to maintain and improve the reliability of the mobile fleet at our Camden site. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting and repair with ownership of preventive maintenance, parts strategy, equipment records, and repair-versus-replace recommendations. Your work will directly support safe, reliable production by keeping critical material-handling and access equipment available when the site needs it.

Our Team

You will be part of the Camden Maintenance organization and work closely with maintenance, operations, warehouse, E&I, engineering, equipment operators, and external vendors to support the site's mobile equipment fleet and day-to-day operations.

Work schedule:

  • 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday.
  • The schedule may be modified based on production or equipment needs.
  • Occasional overtime and call-ins should be expected for equipment emergencies.

What You Will Do

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain internal-combustion and electric mobile equipment, including engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, pneumatics, brakes, steering, mast systems, traction and lift motors, controllers, wiring, batteries, and chargers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and required inspections on powered industrial trucks and mobile elevating work platforms, with accurate supporting records.
  • Own preventive maintenance schedules and intervals, using equipment history and operating conditions to improve reliability.
  • Manage critical spare parts, warranty claims, service contracts, original equipment manufacturer relationships, and outside repair work.
  • Maintain work-order, maintenance, parts, and cost records in SAP and improve cost visibility for the fleet.
  • Analyze cost of ownership, recommend repair-versus-replace decisions, and maintain a rolling end-of-life replacement plan supported by business cases.
  • Evaluate equipment options for site needs, including where electrification or lithium-ion technology can create value.
  • Support operator training and evaluation, mentor maintenance team members, and work in accordance with INVISTA and applicable safety requirements.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 3 or more years of hands-on experience maintaining industrial mobile equipment, forklift fleets, heavy trucks, or comparable equipment.
  • Experience diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on mobile equipment.
  • Experience reading and working from electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and service manuals.
Physical Requirements
  • Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions, including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations
  • PPE use is in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for a given task
  • Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs
  • Standing for extended periods of time up to 12 hours per day
  • Moving the entire body. Considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis

What Will Put You Ahead

  • EPA Section 609 certification for working on HVAC capability on mobile equipment
  • EPA Section 608 certification or experience working on stationary refrigeration or building HVAC.
  • ASE A7, T7 certification for related automotive or medium/heavy-truck HVAC.
  • OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 qualification for powered industrial truck trainer/evaluator
  • OEM factory training from a forklift manufacturer such as Hyster, Toyota, Raymond or Komatsu.
  • Experience using a computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work orders, preventive maintenance scheduling, and parts management. (Ex. SAP)
  • Experience owning a parts inventory and a capital replacement plan, not just executing repairs.
  • Welding and fabrication certification.
  • Trackmobile or rail car mover experience
