Aquent is partnering with a major Health System client that is at the forefront of healthcare innovation, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing medical research. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to step into a pivotal role within this fast-paced environment. As a key contributor to the financial operations, you will drive critical processes, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting. Your expertise will directly impact the health system's ability to make informed decisions, optimize resources, and continue its vital work. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your accounting prowess, particularly in fixed assets and lease accounting, and harness modern automation tools to streamline operations and enhance financial clarity for a 1-year temporary assignment.

Eligibility Requirements



  • Be authorized to work in the United States
  • Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
  • Be able to work on a W-2 basis (C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this position)


Key Responsibilities



  • Oversee and maintain fixed asset and lease accounting schedules to ensure compliance with GAAP and organizational standards.
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual period close processes, including posting journal entries, allocations, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare complex general ledger account reconciliations, cost reports, bank reconciliations, and regulatory financial reports.
  • Leverage Workday and Microsoft ecosystem automation tools to optimize workflows, reduce manual processing, and increase data accuracy.
  • Analyze complex financial data and communicate findings, limits, and guidance to non-finance stakeholders across the health system.
  • Prepare federal, state, and other regulatory reports ensuring full compliance with established guidelines and reporting mandates.


Must-Have Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in fixed asset accounting and lease accounting within an enterprise or health system setting.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Workday financial modules.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft ecosystem automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Excel advanced functions) to improve accounting workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax, and local, state, and federal regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for non-finance users.


Nice-to-Have Qualifications



  • Prior experience working within a healthcare or health system environment.
