Shift: 10pm - 6am + OT

PURPOSE OF POSITION:



  • Prepare, review, and distribute weekly reports for inventory by warehouse for all outside cold locations
  • Monitor outside cold inventory to ensure proper rotation and inventory levels by facility
  • Create weekly production schedules by line/shift for the Fernando's plant in Compton, based on sales forecast.


DECISION MAKING RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Independent decisions
  • Production schedule volume based on pre-determined guidelines
  • Assist with product movements for frozen products from production to customers and/or out side cold storage facilities based on pre-determined guidelines.
  • Change orders between warehouses as needed to balance inventory and ensure rotation.


WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:



  • Dispatch staff- Daily/Weekly to schedule transfer loads
  • Accounting staff- Weekly to resolve inventory issues
  • Production schedulers - daily production request, changes and allocations (Non-Fernando's plants as needed)
  • Customer service representatives/daily - order fulfillment, order changes
  • Shipping staff-Daily with instructions
  • I.S. staff-As needed to develop and maintain systems
  • Purchasing staff/weekly - production planners, material usage, new products, order co-pack products
  • External Cold Storage Facilities-Daily to give direction on inventory and shipments
  • Loading dock-distribution center/daily - advise transfer of product between facilities


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Create weekly schedule for Fernando's Plant, both creating the weekly plan 20%
    and maintaining planning in SNP
  • Manage all frozen inventory in outside facilities by updating sales history and adjust 15%
    the minimum and maximum volume to ensure 100% order fill
  • Processing shipping and receiving functions for outside cold facilities in SAP 15%
  • Maintain all production planning related to Frozen Mexican food line in SAP, which include a 12 week 10% and annual plan
  • Communicate order changes as needed to customer service group to reduce shuttle costs 10% and product handling while filling all orders
  • Responsible for other product controller vacation coverage 10%
  • Ensure accurate system inventories for all outside cold storage facilities 10% which includes weekly monitoring of all inventory transactions and verifying inventory levels at each outside cold storage facility
  • Create weekly shipping schedules for all outside cold facilities based on production forecasts 5% (from all plants) and space availability in outside cold facilities
  • Create inventory reports by SKU/Age and storage facilities to ensure rotation and communicate action 5% needed to management weekly

REQUIREMENTS:



  1. B.S. Degree in business, statistics, or related field preferred
  2. 1-3 years experience in Inventory Control and Shipping / Receiving Operation
  3. 1-3 years scheduling experience preferred
  4. Strong Computer Skills (MS Office and SAP, WMS helpful)
  5. Strong Interpersonal, Organization, and Problem Solving Skills
  6. Strong Customer Service values


This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

STATISTICAL DATA:
Ensure Freezer rotation at all Facilities including 3 internal distribution centers and 6-10 outside cold storage facilities for up to 1000+ SKU's and up to 12,000 pallets of product. Assist with transportation and storage of frozen production from 10 Production Facilities.

ADDITIONAL PERTINENT FACTS:
Weekly production schedule for 119 products totaling 36,000,000 pounds annually.
