The College of Arts and Sciences seeks to hire an experienced Research Assistant to support the Psychology Department.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The ideal candidate for this position will support the research activities of a grant-funded project, "Resilience/Resistance to Alzheimer's Disease in Centenarians" an their Offspring. This role may also assist with writing abstracts, or manuscripts for dissemination of research findings.

The essential duties and responsibilities are the following:

  • Recruits and enrolls study participants, including explaining research procedures and obtaining informed consent of subjects and/or their families.
  • Schedule participants and conduct reminder phone calls and/or send mail-outs.
  • Perform pre-screening, data collection, data entry, data analysis, and database management; including visiting subjects at their place of residence or at a mutually agreed-upon place to collect a blood sample.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree; or high school diploma or GED and four years of experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

  • Some college or an Associate's Degree. Major in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field.
