Responsibilities

Quality and Food Safety Supervisor

The Quality Food Safety Supervisor is responsible for leading quality assurance and food safety programs to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role supervises quality team members, promotes a culture of food safety, and drives continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.

  • Supervise quality assurance personnel and daily quality activities.
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, sanitation, and food safety standards.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and product reviews to verify quality and specification adherence.
  • Investigate customer complaints and lead root cause and corrective action activities.
  • Serve as the HACCP Coordinator and SQF Practitioner.
  • Support internal, external and customer audits, food safety inspections, recall programs, and preventive control verification activities.
  • Analyze quality metrics and implement improvements to enhance product quality and food safety performance.
  • Coordinate quality and food safety training for new and existing employees.
  • Manage employee scheduling, performance, and development while partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 2+ years of quality, food safety, or sanitation leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, AIB, and food safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
