From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis US Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Processing Supervisor based in Casa Grande, AZ.

The Processing Supervisor will be responsible for maximizing productivity and achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by managing and directing processing employees on assigned shifts. Key duties will include planning and overseeing daily tasks, resolving operational roadblocks and employee concerns, and strictly enforcing all safety and quality protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies. This position will drive operational excellence by adhering to Continuous Improvement (CI) processes and the Management Operating Structure (MOS), requiring collaboration with other departments. The role will report to the Processing Manager.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Directs the overall activities of the Milk Receiving and Processing departments.
  • Schedules the flow of raw milk and it by-products.
  • Coordinate/Schedule run times to match filler needs to maximize efficiency and minimize down time in the filler area.
  • Monitor and oversee the flow and discharge of Waste Water.
  • PM of processing machinery when required
  • Provides recommendations to the Production Manager in regards to plant operations to ensure that the facility maintains high quality and safety standards to continue to maintain our leadership position in the industry.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for all aspects of the business.
  • Assists in the typical responsibilities of a Supervisor requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating.
  • Provides management of employees directly to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action and performance management.
  • Leads by example by following all Commonwealth Dairy quality and operational policies, procedures, standards and specifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a dairy processing plant or similar manufacturing facility
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
  • Ability to select, coach, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and written skills that enable high-level interaction with senior management within the company and across our customer and supply base.
