ABOUT HALLMARK'S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

We need sharp, energetic people to help us create, engineer, market, and deliver our products worldwide. Challenging and rewarding summer internship opportunities are available for students pursuing degrees in areas such as Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Communications, Engineering, Human Resources, Psychology, Statistics, Physics, Data Science, and Computer Science.

Hallmark's internship program (late May through early August) provides the valuable opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to meaningful projects in a corporate environment. You will work alongside professionals in your field on projects aligned with Hallmark's business objectives. In addition, you will gain exposure to Hallmark leadership, learn more about products and initiatives, visit with employees and interns from other disciplines, and enjoy what life is like in the Kansas City metro area.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Join Hallmark's Information Technology organization as an intern supporting a variety of high-impact teams, including Enterprise Architecture, IT Service & Portfolio Management, Automation & AI, Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, and Cloud Operations. You'll contribute to meaningful projects that deliver business value while gaining exposure to enterprise technology strategy, product delivery, and emerging technologies.

Throughout the summer, interns will gain hands-on experience identifying business challenges, designing technology solutions, developing applications and automation tools, analyzing data, and applying emerging technologies including artificial intelligence to improve business outcomes. Interns will collaborate with product managers, software engineers, architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders while gaining exposure to Hallmark's enterprise technology ecosystem.

                        PROJECTS MAY INCLUDE



                        • Designing and developing AI-enabled solutions to improve operational efficiency
                        • Building automation tools to eliminate manual processes and improve employee productivity
                        • Creating software applications and user interfaces that enhance business workflows
                        • Developing test automation frameworks and performance monitoring dashboards
                        • Supporting cloud, infrastructure, and site reliability initiatives
                        • Building integrations between enterprise applications and business systems
                        • Modernizing legacy applications using current technology platforms and frameworks
                        • Researching emerging technologies and recommending innovative solutions to business challenges
                        • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate alternatives, and implement scalable solutions
                        • Supporting technology portfolio planning, service management processes, governance activities, and prioritization of technology investments.
                        • Building load test scripts for critical business period, covering critical functionalities on the website

                                                            BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

                                                            The following is required to be considered for this role:



                                                            • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Computer Engineering
                                                            • A graduation date of December 2027, May 2028, December 2028, May 2029, December 2029, or May 2030
                                                            • GPA of 3.0 or higher (GPA must be stated on your resume)



                                                                PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

                                                                Your resume and application will stand out if you have:



                                                                • Foundational knowledge of AI, BPO, BPA, RPA, and enterprise architecture.
                                                                • Previous internship experience or exposure to corporate or technological work.
                                                                • Demonstrated leadership skills & ability to manage ambiguity.
                                                                • Strong analytical skills, learning agility, and problem-solving skills.
                                                                • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and presentation skills.
                                                                • Familiarity with Agile and ITIL frameworks.



                                                                          ADDITIONAL DETAILS



                                                                          • Hallmark's internship program is 12-weeks long, starting in late May and ending in early August.
                                                                          • This summer internship is a hybrid position, with the flexibility to work from both our recently renovated headquarters building in Kansas City, MO, and from your summer residence within the KC metro area.
                                                                          • Relocation and housing assistance is provided for interns whose permanent address is outside of the KC metro area. Relocation to the Kansas City metro area is required for this role.
