Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Estimated annual base pay: $85,000 - $125,000

As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you will play a critical role in delivering market-based compensation programs that support Woodward's business strategy and talent objectives. Reporting to the Director, Compensation, this position combines deep analytical expertise with strong consulting capabilities, serving as a trusted advisor to business segment HR partners on compensation strategy, market competitiveness, job architecture, and pay decisions. The ideal candidate brings a balance of technical compensation knowledge, business acumen, and relationship-building skills to help drive effective and equitable compensation outcomes across the organization.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Serve as a trusted compensation consultant to business group HR Business Partners, providing expert guidance on compensation programs, market competitiveness, pay decisions, job evaluations, and talent-related compensation strategies.

  • Partner with business HR partners to understand organizational needs, assess compensation implications, and develop practical solutions that align market practices with business objectives and Total Rewards philosophy.

  • Conduct compensation analyses, including job evaluation, market pricing, workforce modeling and cost impact assessments to deliver insights and recommendations that drive informed decision-making.

  • Benchmark positions using salary surveys and market intelligence to establish competitive pay ranges aligned to business objectives.

  • Lead participation in external compensation surveys, ensuring accurate job matching, maintaining market pricing data, and identifying emerging market trends that may impact compensation strategies.

  • Support the ongoing governance and maintenance of the enterprise Career Framework, including job architecture, career leveling, and market alignment activities.

  • Play a key role in annual compensation programs, including salary planning and merit cycles, by supporting system configuration and testing, developing communications and training materials, performing audits, and providing analysis and reporting to stakeholders.

  • Support the administration of annual and quarterly incentive programs, maintaining plan documentation, validating payouts, supporting communications, and recommending process improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with compensation-related laws, regulations, and internal governance standards, including pay equity, pay transparency, wage and hour requirements, and other regulatory obligations.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance compensation processes, tools, reporting capabilities, and analytics to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision support.

What We Are Looking For

  • US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Accounting, Human Resources or in an equivalent directly related field preferred

  • 5+ years Related work experience in a corporate compensation department required

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and effectively consult with leaders, HR Business Partners, and cross-functional stakeholders on complex compensation matters.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate compensation data into actionable recommendations and business-focused solutions.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with experience developing compensation recommendations supported by quantitative analysis.

  • Experience with HR systems (Workday/SuccessFactors/SAP), Workday HCM and Advanced Compensation preferred

  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and navigate ambiguity in a dynamic, global environment.
