The Corporateoffice of SmithGroupis looking for aHuman Resources Analystto join our team.



Working with us, you will:



  • Collect, validate, and analyze HR, payroll, compensation, and workforce data from HR systems and other internal and external sources.
  • Create recurring and ad hoc reports using HRIS reporting tools, Excel, Power BI, and other analytics platforms.
  • Analyze data related to compensation, turnover, workforce planning, demographics, and other key HR metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytics tools that provide meaningful workforce and compensation insights.
  • Support compensation programs through market pricing, benchmarking, salary survey participation, salary structure administration, and compensation analysis.
  • Assist with annual merit review and compensation cycles, including data preparation, auditing, reporting, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Perform regular audits of HR and compensation data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliable reporting.
  • Support the maintenance and optimization of HR systems, including testing, upgrades, reporting, user support, and process improvements.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations through reports, dashboards, visualizations, and summaries tailored to stakeholders.
  • Develop documentation, procedures, and training materials related to HR systems, reporting, and compensation processes.


An ideal candidate has:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in human resources, HR analytics, compensation, HR systems, or a related analytical role.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with HRIS platforms; UKG Pro experience is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with compensation programs, including salary structures, market benchmarking, salary surveys, and compensation analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, PivotTables, lookup functions, and data cleaning or transformation.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into practical recommendations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and experience auditing and validating data.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and work effectively with HR, payroll, and business stakeholders.

While we may ultimately pay more or less than a posted salary range, at the time of posting the anticipated salary range for this position is $73,000 to $88,000 annually and you are eligible for a performance-based bonus each year.
