Location: 900 Caton Ave Lot J, Baltimore, MD 21229

Training Location: LabCorp, 6740 Alexander Bell Dr, Columbia, MD 21046

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Assignment Duration: Contract-to-Possible-Permanent

Schedule: Monday-Friday, with every other Saturday

Work Hours: As specified by the client

Interview: In-person, 1 round

Training: Approximately 2 weeks


Position Summary

We are seeking a Phlebotomist I to support a doctor's office in Baltimore, MD. The primary responsibilities will include performing blood draws for patients and processing specimens accurately according to established procedures.

The ideal candidate will provide professional and courteous patient service while maintaining accuracy and following laboratory procedures and safety requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform blood draws/venipunctures for patients.
  • Collect and process patient specimens according to established procedures.
  • Properly label and handle specimens to maintain specimen integrity.
  • Verify patient information and specimen requirements for accuracy.
  • Accurately document patient and specimen information.
  • Follow established laboratory procedures and safety requirements.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to patients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate with patients regarding the blood draw process.
  • Work effectively with the team to support daily operations.
  • Complete required department training.
  • Support additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Phlebotomy experience required.
  • Phlebotomy certification required.
  • Experience performing blood draws/venipunctures.
  • Experience with specimen processing.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and patient-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand for approximately 10-15 minutes per blood draw.
  • Comfortable performing approximately 15-20 blood draws per day.
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday with every other Saturday.
  • Must be willing to complete approximately 2 weeks of training at the Columbia, MD location.
