In the role of Control Systems Coordinator/EIT, we'll count on you to:
- Be a Control Systems Coordinator/EIT that can focus primarily on process controls.
- Participate in the design of complex industrial process control systems.
- Participate in process control design for water/wastewater, solid waste, power and process industries.
- Participate in process, controls, and instrumentation technology assessments and systems evaluations.
- Conduct analyses to develop chemical or process related design options or recommendations.
- Assist in the preparation of project deliverables (examples include engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and project specifications).
- Assist with selection and specification of process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipment.
- Assist with system testing and commissioning activities.
- Assist with design and construction project coordination tasks and activities.
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
- Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
- Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers and project managers on larger projects.
- Give directions to clerical and technical personnel.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Master's degree in Chemical, Nuclear, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Industry experience to include one or more of the following: Water/Wastewater, Solid Waste, Microgrid, Power, Process Industries, Nuclear/Advanced Nuclear, Manufacturing, Buildings.
- Understanding of PFDs, Heat and Materials Balance, P&IDs, and associated process industries standard design documentation.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
- Knowledgeable of DCS or SCADA platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Modicon, Wonderware, or Ignition
- Microsoft Office experience
- May need to travel
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
