LOADER OPERATOR

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Loader Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to transport and manage aggregate materials throughout the production or job site. This role ensures efficient material handling while maintaining equipment and adhering to safety standards. The position plays a key part in supporting daily operations and overall site productivity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Operate loader and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks
• Follow supervisor direction regarding work areas and tasks
• Load, transport, and dump materials using loader controls
• Feed hoppers, stockpile materials, and move aggregates as needed
• Maintain awareness of surroundings when operating on roadways or job sites
• Understand and follow ground disturbance and safety protocols
• Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of equipment
• Assist with other construction-related duties as required
• Promote and adhere to company safety policies and procedures

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate has experience operating loaders or similar heavy equipment in a construction or industrial setting. They are safety-focused, reliable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. This individual demonstrates strong situational awareness, takes initiative, and contributes to efficient and productive operations.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license required
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
• Leadership ability with a respectful and team-oriented approach
• Knowledge of materials and equipment used in operations

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
• Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
• Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
• Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
• Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location)
• Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
