Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000
A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.

The Associate Director of Digital Philanthropy supports the advancement of Temple University's philanthropic goals by developing, implementing, and optimizing digital fundraising strategies that increase donor participation and retention, strengthen engagement, and build a pipeline for future philanthropic support.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Advancement Communications, this position manages key digital philanthropy initiatives, including multi-channel fundraising campaigns, digital donor journeys, Giving Days, crowdfunding, peer-to-peer fundraising, and emerging digital engagement strategies. The Associate Director will leverage data, analytics, technology, and industry best practices to create meaningful donor experiences and enhance the effectiveness of Temple's annual giving and broader philanthropic efforts.

This position will also serve as a key partner in advancing digital fundraising innovation, including autonomous fundraising initiatives, AI-enabled engagement tools, and other emerging technologies that expand the university's ability to engage constituents at scale.

Working collaboratively across Institutional Advancement, the Associate Director will play a critical role in advancing Temple University's philanthropic goals by developing innovative, scalable fundraising strategies that engage donors where they are, deepen connections to the university, and create pathways to lifelong philanthropy. This position will help shape the future of annual giving and digital engagement while ensuring Temple remains at the forefront of innovation in advancement.

Job Details

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree.
* At least 4 years of directly related experience in higher education advancement or nonprofit fundraising.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities
* Strong skills in campaign design, execution and measurement.
* Strong data and analytical skills in order to perform data pulls, data segmentation, as well as for budgeting, cost effectiveness, and reporting.
* Ability to interact and communicate effectively with vendors, internal customers, and the general public.
* Strong written communication skills with ability to produce error-free communications.
* Strong time management, organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong creative problem-solving skills with the ability to be resourceful, proactive, and seek assistance as needed.
* Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently.
* Demonstrated experience managing fundraising vendors and external partners. Familiarity with crowdfunding, peer to peer fundraising, and emerging fundraising technologies.
* Experience with CRM platforms, fundraising analytics, and marketing automation tools.
* Knowledge of AI-enabled fundraising and constituent engagement technologies.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
