Project Manager (Contract)

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days onsite per week)
Contract Duration: 12 months with option to renew
Pay Rate: $55-$60 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a Project Management Office (PMO) team in Oklahoma City. This role is responsible for leading projects from initiation through completion, ensuring successful delivery while meeting budget, schedule, quality, and organizational objectives.

The Project Manager will collaborate with business leaders, cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to coordinate resources, manage risks, remove roadblocks, and drive project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead medium to large-scale projects through the full project life cycle.
  • Utilize Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management methodologies to support project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project charters, scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Manage project resources, stakeholder communications, and change control processes.
  • Prepare project status reports and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for PMO reporting.
  • Facilitate organizational change management activities and adoption strategies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contract activities from initiation through closeout.
  • Conduct gap analyses and root cause analyses, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure project compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and organizational standards.
  • Lead project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Oversee project implementation, transition, and formal project closure activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing projects using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project.
  • Working knowledge of PMI/PMBOK project management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience managing vendors, contracts, budgets, risks, stakeholders, and project deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large, complex projects across multiple business units.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience developing project metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reporting.
  • Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, Agile, or related credential) is a plus.
Work Schedule
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday
  • Standard work hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
  • No overtime anticipated
  • Hybrid work environment with a minimum of three onsite days per week in Oklahoma City
  • Additional onsite attendance may be required based on project needs
