I & E Engineer Location: Elwood, IL Pay: $80.00 - $88.65 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM \| Hybrid (Onsite/Offsite) Are you an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer with a strong background in industrial reliability, maintenance, and power systems? We are seeking a skilled professional to support critical electrical and instrumentation assets, improve equipment reliability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical and instrumentation equipment Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues to minimize downtime Support capital projects by reviewing specifications, drawings, scopes of work, and contractor deliverables Lead and participate in Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) Maintain electrical system documentation, schematics, and equipment records Support reliability initiatives and corrective actions for recurring equipment issues Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, operations, contractors, and equipment manufacturers Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry codes, and regulatory requirements Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or Associate/Technical Degree with 7+ years of experience Strong knowledge of medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems Experience with electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and reliability programs Familiarity with NFPA, NETA, NEMA, ANSI, IEEE, and related electrical standards Experience with Arc Flash and Coordination Studies using SKM, ETAP, or similar software Ability to read and create electrical one-lines, schematics, and loop drawings Chemical processing, manufacturing, or industrial plant experience preferred ISA Instrumentation Certification and NFPA 70E Certification are a plus Employee Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plans Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Health Savings Account (HSA) AD&D Insurance If you're a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex electrical and instrumentation challenges while improving reliability and plant performance, apply today.
