Associate Clinical Data Manager

Note for Applicants: This position will begin as a full-time temporary assignment scheduled for 40 hours per week. The assignment is currently anticipated to continue roughly 6 months, though timelines may change based on business needs and project demands.
Depending on business needs, funding, and individual performance, there may be future consideration for extension or conversion to a regular full-time employee position. Conversion or extension is not guaranteed.

The Associate Clinical Data Manager is responsible for assisting with data management activities for research studies. The Associate Clinical Data Manager works as an integral part of a cross functional team through the lifecycle of the research study from design through final analysis and study closeout. The Associate Clinical Data Manager is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the study data in the electronic database and collaborates primarily with internal project teams on all aspects of data collection.


Responsibilities

  • Assists cross functional teams with the documentation, testing, and implementation of clinical data collection studies in an EDC system.
  • Contributes to design and/or development of study specific electronic or paper CRFs.
  • Assists project teams in determining data collection requirements.
  • Assists with documenting and resolving data management issues.
  • Assists with review and evaluation of data validation processes and edit checks.
  • Utilizes study data management documents and standards.
  • Reviews data from EMR integration, EDC systems, or external sources.
  • Participates in project and department meetings.
  • Supports query resolution and data quality audits.
  • Assists with EDC training, documentation, and user access.
  • Assists with preparation of data reports.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in public health, clinical, science, technical, or related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience

Required: 1-3 years of experience in clinical data management, EDC, or related clinical research roles.

  • Experience assisting with CRF design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with protocols, validation processes, and query resolution.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Experience reviewing EMR/EDC/external data.
  • Basic EDC user training experience.
  • Knowledge of reporting, audits, and regulatory/SOP compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prioritization, organization, and time management
  • Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and flexibility
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
