HVAC Technician - JLL What this job involves:

As an Industrial HVAC Technician at JLL, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of complex HVAC systems in industrial and large commercial environments. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with strong client service and collaboration, as you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing sophisticated heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems. You'll work with cutting-edge building technologies and AI-enhanced diagnostic tools while partnering with facility managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service. This role offers the opportunity to advance your technical skills, mentor others, and contribute to creating safe, comfortable, and efficient building environments that directly support JLL's commitment to operational excellence and client satisfaction.

What your day-to-day will look like:

* Install, maintain, and repair industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems including compressors, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, rooftop units, VRFs, and large tonnage split systems while ensuring compliance with specifications and building codes

* Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning ducts, replacing filters and belts, checking for leaks, calibrating thermostats, and replacing pump seals and motor bearings to extend system lifespan and prevent costly failures

* Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and thermal imaging equipment, then repair or replace defective components and adjust controls to optimize efficiency

* Document all service work, inspections, and system modifications using CMMS systems and digital reporting tools while leveraging AI technologies to prioritize service requests and enhance diagnostic accuracy

* Collaborate with facility managers, engineers, contractors, and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget, serving as an active contributor on cross-functional teams

* Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to service requests, communicating clearly with building occupants and clients about system status, and explaining technical issues in accessible terms

* Ensure strict compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, JLL safety protocols, and proper handling of refrigerants and electrical components while maintaining organized work areas and equipment

Required Qualifications:

* Proven experience working with industrial or commercial HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment

* Strong technical ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals with proficiency using diagnostic tools and equipment

* EPA certification for refrigerant handling (or other relevant certifications/licenses as required by location)

* Current valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug screening

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated customer service orientation and ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels

* Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in team environments

* Flexibility to respond to emergency service calls during off-hours, weekends, and holidays as needed to maintain critical building systems

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience using CMMS or work order management systems for tracking maintenance activities and service requests

* Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), energy management platforms, and controls technology

* Track record of mentoring or training junior technicians and contributing to team development

* Experience using AI tools or digital technologies to enhance work efficiency, system diagnostics, and performance monitoring

* Knowledge of energy management best practices and demonstrated ability to identify system optimization opportunities

08 Hour Day - 1st Shift/Morning Shift

Estimated compensation for this position:

59,800.00 - 86,800.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
