Position Title: Quality Control Technician

Wage: $18.00-$20.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 5:30am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday 10-hour days

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Quality Control Technician for a company in Richmond, IL. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift.

Quality Control Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Perform in-process, first-piece, and final inspections on manufactured products

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and customer specifications

- Use precision measuring equipment, including height gauges, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other testing instruments

- Verify measurements and product characteristics meet quality standards and tolerances

- Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation

- Identify, segregate, and document non-conforming materials and products

- Communicate quality concerns, defects, and production issues to supervisors and production personnel

- Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives

- Conduct audits and inspections of materials, components, and finished products

- Maintain a clean and organized work area and inspection equipment

- Follow all company quality procedures, safety policies, and work instructions

- Support and adhere to all system procedures and company policies/procedures

Quality Control Technician Requirements:

- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds throughout the shift

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday

- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

- Ability to work with small components and precision measuring tools

- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

- Previous experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Inspection

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

- Experience using height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

- Basic math skills, including understanding decimals, fractions, and measurement conversions

- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection results

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Preferred experience in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, metalworking, or industrial environments

- Preferred knowledge of quality systems, inspection procedures, and root cause analysis

- Preferred experience working with customer specifications and quality standards
