Position Title: Floater
Wage: $15.50 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm QPS Employment Group has a great Floater position available at a company in Unionville, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Floater Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Receive job envelopes, materials, and instructions from the General Foreman or Plant Manager. - Set up and operate vacuum machines according to job specifications. - Run proof sheets and begin production runs, continually inspecting output for quality. - Make adjustments to machinery as needed to maintain quality standards. - Complete product run documentation, including reorder and count sheets. - Add part numbers and/or dates to printed substrates. - Punch parts and cut holes from die-cut materials. - Remove excess material from kiss-cut or plotter-cut printed parts. - Count finished parts and pack them in bags or boxes per customer order requirements. - Operate UPS shipping computer for outgoing shipments. - Perform final inspections following shipping inspector procedures. - Review job envelopes and work instructions for customer-specific shipping or packaging requirements. - Maintain cleanliness of the workstation, shipping area, and warehouse. - Take required measurements as outlined in procedures. Floater Requirements: - Previous experience operating vacuum machines or similar production equipment preferred. - Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. - Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency. - Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and documenting production. - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed. - Reliable attendance and punctuality.
